I was in the Science Museum shop yesterday and saw these among the postcards.
I didn't attempt to buy one, they're not official merchandise and I didn't want to be the one to draw attention to them and get them removed.
Huge Interwebs high-five to whoever put them there!

Great!

I was really bummed last year to see I am Jazz on sale at the shop at the science museum in Bristol. Seemed so anti-scientific.

Were they all the same? It looks like a stack of them there! Noooooo, surely not, science? 😉

Love it - but don’t assume it was a woman. Men can be feminists too !

Yes - whatever happened to the fashion for men to wear ‘this is what a feminist looks like’ t-shirts...?

They learned their lesson ?

If I was to do that, I'd totally make sure I copied a barcode from one of the other postcards, so that they'd scan through the till too....

They learned their lesson ?

No, if they had they would now be wearing 'This is what a feminist ally looks like'.Grin

Maybe we need some lanyards and badges made up ‘feminist ally’ and start emotionally blackmailing people into joining up. We could bake cookies and everything...

Grin I remember those T-shirts back in the day (weren't they a fundraiser for the Fawcett Society?). It was those that confirmed for me that men can only be feminist allies, not actually feminists. I haven’t been proved wrong since on that in my own personal experience.

The self congratulatory men I knew who wore ‘this is what a feminist looks like’ t shirts, werent anything I would recognise as feminist when it actually came down to it. They did like really like the idea of women being particularly nice to them because of the Tshirt they had on though. Hmm

While I really welcome male allies or supporters of feminists and feminist causes, I totally side eye men who say that they themselves are feminists.

Ah OP, it's a shame you named which museum it was as they may have gone undetected for longer if you hadn't.

Now we know full well the Monitors will be straight onto the Sceince Museum to get them removed.

I was thinking of adding some text to one of those posters that says "A woman's place is in the resistance" so that underneath it says :"Please respect women's rights to safe spaces" and put the poster up in a M&S fitting room.

A friend has just said the stickers are back. And right by the till! Apparently the gift shop is heaving, because it's half term. Well done that woman.
