My lack of leg does not prove that humans exist on some exciting spectrum of available legs. We are a bi-ped species. Any deviation from that does not disprove the binary — it is defined by reference to it.

Of course you must absolutely say what you think and of course I am very sorry to think any words of mine caused you pain. But you were not the only person to think it and say it - I was sent a message via Twitter asking me to amend it and I explained why I wouldn't and repeated it here.

I hope you understand why I won't change it. I think it needs to be said. Far too many able bodied people have not the slightest clue about the daily indignities suffered bu many disabled people.
