Yesterday he said 'Cis? What does that mean?'

This is after over 18 months of me trying to get through to him about this whole bulldozing of women, children's & LGB people's rights (AND his best friend mentioning his own concerns as a teacher & dad).

HELLO? FFS.

Anyone else's OH living in a parallel universe to you?

Mine has listened to me rant about it (a lot) but I've always had the feeling that he thought the whole thing would come to an abrupt halt when it hit 'the sensible people' (senior doctors, judges, politicians). I showed him the CPS stuff this week telling girls they might be in trouble with the law if they 'reject' certain males. I think he gets it now.

I know mine's taken it all in because while I was talking to his brother about it (who had asked for more info) I was called away very briefly, When I turned back, my husband had taken the topic on and was in full flow. Didn't miss a point.

Mine is more into the whole gender critical thing than me - he never stops ranting about it! He’s a big Graham Linehan fan of course.

Ah mine sees the problem in sport, but seems to have a block on why this would be a "very bad idea" in hospital, prison, loos, shelters.
I will find the right words one day. I did make him see that "sex work" is not work by saying if it was his daughter. It clicked then. Although he did also tell me that arguing with me is pointless as I have all the answers.
Well yeah of course I do, it's my and all womens rights being pissed all over. I mind greatly about this.

Dh knows that TW are not w. He's too worried about saying the wrong thing to ever comment either way Grin

Mind you I don't think he actually knows what cis is 🤔

He was so worried about me using my AHF tote though (not sure what would happen) that I haven't used it yet. I think he feels the weight of the woke.

NeurotrashWarrior · 03/02/2020 21:07

He's always read the times though, next to the guardian. It was me that poo pooed anything outside the guardian; one thing I've learnt through all this is to read a wide range of media sources.

Which is why of course it's so significant that all the journalists walked out of Boris's limited press release today.

Mine gets it to a point. He works in a hospital so saw immediately the issues relating to single sex wards not actually being single sex anymore (although I did have to actually pull up his trust’s policy to make him believe it). I think he has a limited understanding of the rest of the issues but tbh he is shit at listening generally so he’s just annoying all round on that front, not just relating to these particular issues! I’m reading Invisible Women at the moment and he wouldn’t believe half of that either until I proved it. Annoying.
