Yes I agree we shouldn't be tricked into a false sense of security. Can't help feeling the longer the delay the more evidence and opposition can be marshalled. I don't think they have to care about Labour, it's the power of Stonewall etc we have to worry about. Cutting funding to these groups would be a huge step forward.

It would be a mistake to assume that the Tories have actually thought about this and the delay is deliberate. They may well introduce a self id bill, and the opposition would just chastise them for not doing it sooner

Absolutely. Especially if BJ thinks he can garner some consequence free Twitter accolades. The civil service is colonised. This lobby has some powerful allies in strategic roles. And the Conservatives, irrespective of an 80 seat majority, are still in mea culpa mode for anything remotely Conservative......

I have responded and asked for clarification as to who is replying to me and which minister/department they are speaking on behalf of.

My original email only included questions about women's rights, yet they have mentioned 'trans people' in their response.

Surely anyone reading curiously about the sudden explosion in trans activism, can see that big pharma stand to make huge financial gain from transitioning young potentially vulnerable people, making them lifelong medical patients.
There is an obvious clash with keeping women & children safe in single sex spaces, if self id is introduced.
T is NOT the same as LGB, they couldn’t be more different, I believe the transitioning of minors is deeply homophobic.
The cat is out of the bag now & can’t be stuffed back in. It’s all very well wanting to protect minorities but women make up 50% of the population & we also require a degree of protection!
