Always wondering what the motive is - is South Dakota traditionally anti-gay rights? Does anyone know if The Bridgehead is a reputable source at all?

I clicked on their homepage and the first article was "How family breakdown has separated men from their children and made them miserable", so err, they don't seem to be a very professional news source.

South Dakota is a Republican state.

The issue of trans rights seems incredibly polarised in the U.S...between left and right......Democrats and Republicans. Are there any vocal Democrats who voice concerns?

That Bridgehead page is an interesting resource:

Transgender toys are starting to make an appearance thebridgehead.ca/2020/01/16/people-outraged-as-transgender-doll-features-female-toy-with-penis/

As I’ve noted before, LGBT activists are determined to colonize childhood. Matters of gender and sexuality are no longer for adults only—now, we have brutally explicit sex education at shockingly young ages, scores of children’s books featuring transgender themes in public libraries, and, of course, Drag Queen Storytime

The Bridgehead seems to reprint stories from other sources with a small amount of comment.

The article in the OP is from the Huffington Post.

The one about the dolls is from the Daily Mail.

The people of SoDak are worried about their daughters being made to compete against boys in sports and share toilets with boys at school.
It seems the Legislature there is addressing the issue.

The article below about paying women to get pregnant and then abort the embryo for research looks sensationalist but it linked to another site and the chain of links led to the final , academic site and yes, the first article is accurate.

I assume The Bridgehead is anti- abortion but that in itself does not negate the fact what they are reporting on is utterly vile.

A quick google search will show that the SoDak bill protecting girls sex segregated sports is being reported by major networks as anti-trans.

Most local news papers are just news aggregators now. That is what the Bridgehead appears to be.
