I was at the Wellcome and ground floor loos are now cubicles for all, then wash hands next to a bloke. There are still proper loos on another floor apparently, I just asked, I didn’t check.

I spent the last few years trying to get my dd to go into the loo on her own. Not anymore.

I checked with the Rep in Brum. Separate toilets confirmed by email, went in and checked anyway, as next to library. All good. The library however...

There was an interview with Lady Hale by Simon Hattenstone in the Graun a few days ago. Weirdly, it contains this about the Supreme Court and mixed-sex loos: 'We meet at Middlesex Guildhall, home of the supreme court in Parliament Square, Westminster. It’s a funny mix of old and new, fusty and modern ... The toilets ... are very much 21st century – unisex and fitted with sanitary bins ... I compliment her [Hale] on the unisex toilets and tell her I reckon a male president would have run a mile from such loos.' Interesting and odd both that SH raises the issue with Lady Hale and that he sees the loss of single-sex toilets as progress.

What? You have to use a mixed loo at court? its not like you can walk out and go somewhere else.

bellini yes, I can imagine my parents would have hated raising me in the current times. Now I check yes loos wherever I go with my elderly mum. It’s put her off going to a few places e.g. local shopping centre.
