"At the supermarket checkout: “Would you like a bag for life?” asked the cashier. My husband of 50 years put his arm around me. “No thanks, I’ve got one of those already,” said he."

This reader's letter was published not 40 years ago in the Sun, but last week in the Guardian.

Does anyone know why?

I think it's because everyday sexism is exactly that.

It's baffling to see woke organisations falling over themselves trying not to offend small groups of people, while simultaneously ignoring or insulting ~50% of the population.
