Scottish Government claims to have met with forwomen.scot - only they never did!

We were very surprised to see the consultation paper that accompanies the Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill state that a member of Forwomen.Scot had met with Scottish Government officials – so keen were they to mention this meeting that it was repeated on three separate occasions throughout the document (pages, 114, 117 and 152), even including a reference to our website.

Which would have been nice – except we have never met any Scottish Government Officials.

Outrageous that yet again they have carefully consulted ONLY with groups in full agreement and support of their wanted outcome and avoided any group with any kind of concern.

I wholly agree with the commenter about complaint re fraud. There's an issue of public trust here, law can't be made like this and then be expected that the general public will comply with it.

What else did you expect from the SNP? They’ve always been spin rather than substance. Remember their ludicrous white paper before the independence referendum - lies from start to finish, with impossibly optimistic economic forecasts and no plan even for a currency. This is just more of the same- propaganda that shows their contempt of the electorate in general and (in this case) women in particular.

They met with "A member of..." is a carefully constructed phrase.

I met with a member of the National Trust the other day in Sainsburys.
