I was gifted this for Christmas, the title sounds promising, but should I steel myself for some blathering about female penises? Ill still read it, but won't take the shine off my nice day if it's going to make me swear at it

Animal is the first book, isn’t it? Its fine - she hadn’t caught woke when she wrote it.

There’s a bit of “oh yes you’re a woman if you feel like one”. But not a lot as it’s mostly about female biology.

Ridiculously, for a book about female biology, there’s a bit in the introduction about how ....you can be a woman without female biology, ie if you’re a man.
Worth reading though - fascinating discussion of our clever reproductive systems.
Nothing on the menopause, which I suspect reflects her age.
