Those prostate leaflets are inevitably going to lead many men to understand that women who think they are men have, or grow, prostate glands.

Mole, my (GCSE-biology-taking, not actually dim) teenagers thought that 'the drugs' somehow changed someone's actual sex throughout the body. When challenged, they huffed about 'things scientists can do with gene editing'.

It's not surprising that confusion arises if it is, or appears to be, illegal to explain that this isn't what happens.
