What's also awful is that I hope she never mentions this in this discussion because it would be used as an explanation why she is "irrational" and will prompt endless comments about whether her looks warrant her being stalked.

Absolutely. All these self declared "feminist" men.

A man declaring himself a feminist is a red flag, imo. Men who actually understand what feminism is also understand that it's not about them. The loveliest, most supportive men I know all know very well that their role in relation to feminism is one of making the tea for the meetings and listening to the women in their lives when we need it. If they want to combat sexism then their job is to address their fellow men, not worm their way into women's groups and tell us what we should be doing.

Yes I know some fantastic male allies who have done good stuff in their own right but are very conscious not to talk over women and to listen and take their lead.
