I don't know why, but I never learnt to swear. I don't mind other people doing it, as long as it's not in a totally inappropriate setting.
It's not so much that I think it's offensive, I just think it's often boring and predictable, and also often used to shock - oooh look at me how daring and edgy I am🙄
But I really really hate the used of the word cunt as an insult. How did it become a negative thing? Except of course men don't have them, and some of them are desperately jealous because they don't.
I can't understand how it has become so commonplace and accepted in speech and in print - unless this is an indicator how much misogyny itself has become commonplace and accepted.
It's unacceptable for men to use 'cunt' as an insult. It's inexplicable for women to use 'cunt' as an insult.
I realise I may be in a minority here, and a majority may think I'm being prissy and precious. But to me it feels like the very distillation of misogyny into one word.
