Hi. My 11 year old son is reading a book called "what is gender? How does it define us? And other big questions " by Juno Dawson. Does anyone have any experience of this book? I'm reading it now, some stuff seems ok but it is very pro transitioning. I just wondered what others have thought?

Juno Dawson wrote books for teenagers about being a gay man. Then Juno wrote about gender and now Juno writes a column for a women’s fashion magazine.

Juno is the subject of one of the funniest threads of all time on Datalounge (gay gossip site). It’s not safe for work but it is hilarious:

Juno Dawson is a a TW
I'd be interested to know their take on other big questions, or indeed, what the other big questions are.

Juno Dawson used to be a gay man, until Dawson decided that being a 'transwoman' would be better.

'A lot of gay men are gay men as a consolation prize, because they couldn't be women,' says Dawson, while apparently unaware that that forms the basis for the violent oppression of gay men in Iran

What is gender? I'm f*cked if I know.

Gender identity however, or sex, I know about those, I read a book about sex when I was at school, in biology class.

The bit about the gender fluid and the trans umbrella is my favourite
