Just noticed an important looking tweet from Clare B Dimyon @BDimyon that I really want to understand but need some help from you knowledgeable lot.

I can't figure out how to paste a link to the tweet or the table of stats, (can someone tell me how, I'm on the phone app).

The text in the tweet is below;

"NEWSFLASH: @joswinson @LibDems @theSNP @joannaccherry @CarolineLucas 2015-19 @MoJGovUK Offender Equalities Statistics show consistent same biological sex bias, Male-Female Pattern Criminal Offending as... the rest of the Prison Population (#England & #Wales) @GEOgovuk @Mscots79"

Can’t make it out. They seem to have missed out some crucial information. But statistics of sex of offenders is being increasingly distorted by men being reported as female. This is particularly important in areas such as sex offences when the number of actual female offences is so low relative to male rates.

Hopefully link and photo.

My understanding is, males who identify as not being men, commit criminality as those males who recognise their own sex, whereas females who identify as not being women, show an increase in violent behaviours.

There was a previous study a few years ago that showed the same.

I believe the lowest line is the percentage of the prison trans population that are recorded biologically male.

I think she’s comparing the ratio of male and female transitioners, but to be meaningful, the figures would need to be compared with the wider prison population and (I think) the general population as a whole.

Hopefully she will clarify.

Thanks, glad I'm not the only one confused.
