The article that in Argentina, where this took place: The young children of 6% of female detainees stay with their mothers in custody
We're soon going to see children conceived by rape in prison, including to women in long sentences. They'll be born in custody, spend time in prison when young then be adopted I would imagine.
It's unspeakably unfair for the State to impose a system that will result in bringing children into the world in such circumstances. How desperately sad and unfair for those children.
Argentina is a Catholic country, isn't it? Would the women have access to abortion if they wanted one?
Is there any likelyhood here that abortion would be either denied, or pushed on them?
