Sportswomen asked to donate brains for vital dementia research

Wonder if they accept people who identify as women for this research. And if not, why not?

I think all people should donate all organs, not just female sportswomen.
Agree that the organs should be recorded by sex, not vague descriptions of inner-feelz.

Is that so they have a more balanced cohort than the multiply concussed footballers (who do have a much raised chance of dementia)?

i think there are some male athletes who lay on both men’s and women’s teams.

Perhaps they could donate the blue lobe of their brain, which will obviously be left-logic one, to the male cohort and the pink lobe to the female cohort and thereby provide their own comparator group.

It appears that women are much more susceptible to concussion than men and risk much longer term after-effects. Yet another area of medicine where sex differences have been neglected and are turning out to be important.
