Yes, Ruth looks very silly now. They have a negative article in a newspaper about their establishment and almost everyone who knows about it thinks it was a horrible message, the only people who would support it are openly misogynistic or worse.
Then the supposed owner comes on to say they don't regret it 
which just makes them look like they are either really stupid or a horrible women-hater. There isn't any other way you could not think it was a bad move.
