I have a ticket. Any idea what time it starts as I can’t see anything on the website but am using my phone.

ClownsandCowboys · 07/01/2020 08:23

The eventbrite says 9am.

I want to go, just need to discuss childcare with DH (dd has ASD so we both try not to leave the other one alone with both kids).

More tickets just released!

TinselAngel · 08/01/2020 18:21

I wish it was being held somewhere cheaper to travel to / stay in.

RicketyClickety · 08/01/2020 18:30

Thanks @MrsSnippyPants! I've been looking out for that.

FlyingOink · 08/01/2020 19:44

I swear they must look at my work roster to make sure I can't attend Grin

I've made a donation, only small but it's good they have that option on there now, I'd be inclined to donate to events I can't attend.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 08/01/2020 20:13

I'll be there, unless I get ill again. My health sucks.

MrsFogi · 09/01/2020 17:42

They are already sold out. I have a number of friends who want to attend - do we know if there will be another wave of tickets released?

VinandVigour · 09/01/2020 18:30

I managed to get a ticket yesterday. Very excited to be going. I think I might have a snake brooch somewhere.....might wrap it in a Mumsnet Blue ribbon!

ValancyRedfern · 09/01/2020 18:34

Arg. All sold out again!

shedquarters · 09/01/2020 20:09

Got a ticket yesterday, had my alarm set for the release.
Love that it's called Women's Liberation 2020.

TinselAngel, as long as you don't mind a bunk bed in dorm YHA is a very reasonable option for accommodation, especially if you're a member (£15 a year) More expensive on a Saturday night but £27 for Central London is not bad.

Can't really suggest cheap travel options though, all the rail discount stuff is for two people, and even then is not cheap #RipOffBritain

National Express can work out a lot cheaper but it seems to me to be more awkward to get to their locations (nearest train 7 miles away nearest NE pick-up 25 miles for me) and they are so much slower.

Socrates11 · 10/01/2020 08:39

Actually train lot cheaper (£38 1hr) & more convenient than National Express (£53 3.5hrs!) for this particular (return) journey. But I'm just less than 100 miles away from London.

Public transport costs are bloody ridiculous in this country 😣

Thinkingabout1t · 10/01/2020 15:14

Curses, I can't go. Will look forward to coverage on women's sites and reports from MNers who attend.

LayAllYourLoveOnMe · 10/01/2020 17:29

Exciting that it is called “Women’s Liberation”

TinselAngel · 10/01/2020 17:42

TinselAngel, as long as you don't mind a bunk bed in dorm

Alas I am a spoilt only child who likes privacy.

omikron · 10/01/2020 17:43

I'm going! I'm nervous because I don't know anyone!

shedquarters · 10/01/2020 17:58

Premier Inn have their new Hub hotels (cheaper than normal PIs) they look really nice. Central London is always expensive.

GeordieTerf · 13/01/2020 09:03

The Travelodge hotels are cheap too. They don’t appear on hotel comparison sites, so you need to book direct.

PinkRobots · 13/01/2020 12:55

I hope it’s okay to post this here. It’s the conference schedule that was posted on the WPUK Twitter feed.
