Hustings question

I haven’t managed to get a ticket for our local hustings, which is totally sold out. However, there is the opportunity to email in questions. Without being there and able to follow up any responses, I’m struggling to put together a single question which really gets to the heart of the gender debate and, in particular, gets the issue across to people watching who might not know the extent of the issues and doesn’t allow the candidates to fob listeners off with woke buzzwords.

Anyone done anything similar? Any pointers gratefully accepted!

I've just come from our hustings, it depends on what your priorities are but you could look at the They Work For Us website and look up the voting record for your MP and read the party manifestos, I think there are easy read versions as well as the full versions.

For a women's rights focus look up the WPUK candidate questions or check the candidate threads on FWR.

Same as Question Time. "Do the panel believe that women have cocks?"

Sunkisses · 22/11/2019 06:29

Something like...
If the Gender Recognition Act is reformed so that anyone can legally self-declare they are opposite sex without any requirement to have any medical intervention or diagnosis, do the candidates recognise the concerns of many that the rights of women and girls to privacy, safety and dignity would be jeopardised by this?

Sunkisses · 22/11/2019 06:31

Or asking them to positively affirm they are supportive of women's rights to single-sex spaces?
Do the candidates agree that women have the right to single-sex spaces, such as hospital wards, changing rooms, and public toilets?

Thanks so much. Think your top one is perfect @Sunkisses as it gets the point about self id across to everyone listening. Otherwise I’d worry that they would nod and say yes to single sex spaces, but then be able to wriggle out of it by allowing anyone to self id into them

@Sunkisses thank you so much. I will let you know the results after asking this question.
