In the SW, so an area where we did once have a LD MP. So they are quite chipper. I had already emailed our candidate about this, and he is, a bit bemused and embarrassed about their policy. MEP put up a more robust defence, but couldn't really defend their policy either. Although they did keep saying that I didn't properly know what it was. Their best argument was that "well assaults are illegal". Well don't make it easier for them to happen, fuckwits. (I did swear a few times in this conversation). I told them the Target stats and this confused them further. I also pointed out that Muslim women's rights were being eroded for trans rights and at that point they left.
Apparently I am going to get an email from a senior woman MEP who has been part of their policy group. Sooo... we could have some fun with that.
