That looks like a great use of resources in these austere times.

I rather hope that the word gender is soon going to be so inextricably linked with woke crap that people will go back to using the word sex just so as not to be implicated with the embarrassing stupidity of it all.

If there ever was an example of pointless virtual signalling then this is quite literally it.

I think they could be fairly confusing. The symbol for crossing is universally known and there is no need to change it.

We’ve had these on pedestrian crossings in Trafalgar Square for years. I think they were put up for Pride one year and never taken down.
There are worse impositions of gender narrative and by the look of things they were paid for by Siemens, not the council.

The council didn't pay for this. It was done by Siemens at no expense to the council.
