World Toilet Day - gender neutral loos

It's World Toilet Day and it looks like some women have been out stickering mixed sex (sorry, "gender neutral" ) loos. Good for them!

I'm so fed up with our rights being given away and people just shrugging and not seeing the issue. (Not you lot obvs!)

If single cubicles are so great, why aren't they putting them in the men's and leaving our loos alone? Or does it just not matter that including everyone in our spaces means many women are excluded? Obviously not

What the hell is so wrong with a third space? And why, if there must be mixed sex facilities, do they always encroach into the bloody women's, while the anointed men's remains unassailed and intact?

Just had to wait outside a Gender Neutral toilet while some posey wealthy looking bloke stood with the door open faffing with his hair and chatting on his mobile, leaving seat up and not washing his hands.

Really cross! This loo is next to a women's centre for women who've experienced domestic violence. Really stressful when you actually need some single sex space to go to!

My friend has a really unnerving experience in a mixed-sex toilet facility in Liverpool recently, somewhere in the docklands area. She was really upset and intimidated by it all and suddenly 'got' what I'd been explaining to her for ages. When she came out of the cubicle, there were a couple of men hanging around and she said that they both stared at her while she washed her hands as quickly as possible and laughed when she hurried away in fear.
Bloody awful.
Men always hold the power in any mixed-sex facility. Nobody gives a damn about women and women's rights. How and when did we become so powerless?
