Fatface Changing Rooms

On Saturday, me and my DD went to fatface and to my horror found that the changing rooms were unisex! And that the doors don’t go all the way up! Apparently this is at all their stores!

Another one falls to the trans cult!

They have always been like that, though.

FamilyOfAliens · 18/11/2019 07:18

You’d think that with the state of the high street economy at the moment, stores wouldn’t be so stupid as to alienate their core customers, wouldn’t you?

It’s almost as if they want to go bust.

MsJaneAusten · 18/11/2019 07:20

I’m pretty sure FatFace have always had that. They’re also usually within the shop if that make sense? So you’re less vulnerable as the curtain/door opens to the shop?

TreestumpsAndTrampolines · 18/11/2019 07:20

That's pretty normal in small highstreet stores isn't it?

I think more of a problem is the large ones, which historically have had sex-specific changing rooms, now making it mixed sex, and not always making it clear they have done so.

Ie. facilities being lost to women, rather than facilities that never existed.

Is it for that reason? The ones at my local have been like that for years (around 15?) and opened directly to the shop floor.

Backinthebox · 18/11/2019 07:21

Fatface changing rooms have always been like that. This isn’t a change or a new thing.

WickedGoodDoge · 18/11/2019 07:22

I don’t mind our Fat Face’s set up because there are just two changing rooms opposite each other and within view of the whole store. I think that’s OK. What I do mind are store like M&S where the changing rooms are quite separate to the main floor and there’s a whole row of changing rooms off a separate corridor with entrance at the start, if that makes sense.

Teachermaths · 18/11/2019 07:22

They've always been like this.

Stop with the faux outrage.

No. You’re wrong.
Is this your first time in FatFace?

Weatherwax · 18/11/2019 07:24

The changing rooms are INDIVIDUAL not unisex. What's going to happen if you go in to a room that - heaven forbid - a man has just been in, or is next to. Another one lost to the trans culture? Get over yourself. Most Fatface stores don't have the space to separate off specific changing rooms.

LolaSmiles · 18/11/2019 07:26

Fat face have always had unisex changing rooms. Their stores are usually small and there's usually one of two changing rooms opening out into the shop.

Some of our independent shops have the same set up.

No agenda there. Fairly standard for smaller shops.

Sarcelle · 18/11/2019 07:35

They haven't fallen to any cult. They have always been that way.
