I can’t read the whole thing, but I have heard of her before. My heart goes out to her and so many others who find themselves in this place. There needs to be more support for those that do, and more work done to prevent people from ending up here in the first place.

I can't read the whole thing, but Charlie is great. She has an event coming up for transitioners where they can talk about 'the elephant in the room'
Her voice is so important in this.

And thanks to Joani for writing this (especially in a paper that is GC at times, but also runs that column about a middle aged father who wants to transition from mtf. Sorry about the wording, but it is the weekend).

HandsOffMyRights · 17/11/2019 09:36

Sorry, the event is for detransitioners!

I think it was shared in a readable format on one of the FB pages and one of the stories was a woman who transitioned at 44 and now in her 60s wished to de transition. She had had SRS and the root of it was that she had suffered terrible abuse when younger so hated her female body.

I hope their event can go ahead and that they don’t get any trouble from the usual crowd

DT and Sunday T is full on gender critical now. It has also been covering Maya Forstater's tribunal each day.

I'm not sure if this is the whole article, but would seem to be more than you can read on the Torygraph's site.

I've registered with the Telegraph. It's a very good, very sad article.
Thanks to Joani Walsh and I'm pleased to see her getting credited with her story for a change.

jenthelibrarian The article takes up the entire broadsheet page, along with pictures.
