I've had a quick read and can't see anything about self ID
Has anyone read more in depth and found anything?

Where have you read it? I didn't think it was out yet.

On the Labour Party website. I downloaded something, perhaps it's just a preliminary
I will check

I had a look and could only see a link to the 2017 manifesto, with a note at the top saying the 2019 one is coming soon.

OK I've checked
It was the 2017 manifesto Blush
I was thrilled that self ID wasn't on Blush

Let's hope it's not in the 2019 one either!

niceberg · 16/11/2019 22:31

I think it is expected imminently so we won't have long to wait.

MrGsFancyNewVagina · 16/11/2019 22:33

They’re not stupid, well not completely, they’ll not put it on the manifesto because the TRAs want it done quietly. Otherwise the public will react once they understand the risks to the women and children in their lives.

The hint was there in the 2017 manifesto:

A Labour government will reform the Gender Recognition Act and the Equality Act 2010 to ensure they protect Trans people by changing the protected characteristic of ‘gender assignment’ to ‘gender identity’ and remove other outdated language such as ‘transsexual’.

You can pretty much guarantee that the intention then, and will be this time around, is to also remove the diagnosis of GD requirement and the two year period.

It might be more specific this time: depends on the bargain struck between the actual socialists for economic reform and the woke liberals wanting social reform. I fully expect the socialists to chuck women under the bus.

I remember that being on a thread Lang, I remember crying when I read it as it truly terrified me at the time.

The Labour Party asked for feedback for their manifesto and this is now closed so the result is expected soon I think. I've signed up for the notification.

Despite the recent women's declaration there is no way they are going to move an inch from the 2017 position.
