All the Mumsnet posts about the male fetishists posting pervy reviews of M&S knickers has got in the Sun. Joani Walsh topped off this journalist and he stole her story and didn't credit her: www.thesun.co.uk/news/10350754/marks-spencer-slammed-men-underwear-reviews/

OP posts:

Oh god I am NEVER buying from them again. I don’t want to risk getting something that’s been wanked in.

testing987654321 · 16/11/2019 12:01

Ew ew ew. So M&S are fine with the women's underwear section being used as a forum for men to share their fetish.

Can anyone recommend a place that sells good pants which last well.

Rachelsfatarse · 16/11/2019 12:03

I’ve got some Tesco knickers that are as old as my teen kids. Good price too.

hopelesssuitcase · 16/11/2019 12:08

It’s not just any knicker fetish, it’s a M&S knicker fetish
Definitely the best comment from the sub article.

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 16/11/2019 12:12

So M&S are fine with the women's underwear section being used as a forum for men to share their fetish.

They have specifically stated that fetishistic men's wank fantasies are 'appropriate for all their customers', yes.

That is how little Marks and Spencers think of their female customers.

Just to be clear M&S think fetishistic men's wank fantasies are suitable for all their female customers of any age, and any background regardless of what those women and girls might feel.

That's not just wank fantasies, that's M&S wank fantasies.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 16/11/2019 12:14

Yep, Tesco basics - socks, knickers, thermals are very good indeed.

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 16/11/2019 12:17

Another vote for Tesco knickers.

And the last time I bought any they came in a sealed pack so less chance of having been wanked on by some pervy man than M&S 'we don't care if men have wanked on these knickers' knickers.

Daughterofmabel · 16/11/2019 12:19

Yep tesco knickets v good. They often have the posher ones in the sale too.

Clymene · 16/11/2019 12:20

I feel sorry for Rosie Huntingdon-Whitley. Poor women knowing that knickers with her name on are the lacy thongs of choice for pervy blokes. :(

Michelleoftheresistance · 16/11/2019 12:22

Agree. I was pissed off about the changing rooms, but M&S are now permanently burned into my mind as mostly about enabling men to wank. Ew.

And associating that with food...…. bleurgh. Revolting. Just go the rest of the hog M&S, and put the dildoes and wank socks stands by the handbags. I'll be shopping as far away from you as I can get and wanting to get the antibacterial gel out as I pass the door.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 16/11/2019 12:25

Maybe they can start offering chocolate dildos to tie their two core market segments together.

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 16/11/2019 12:25

I like Fantasie and Freya. Triumph also good, despite the old-fashioned name. Figleaves is a good online source. And they always come in sealed packs.

I never shopped for lingerie at M&S but did like their food hall, some of their scented products and candles, and occasionally clothes (I liked the look of their beauty calendar and had my eye on a black poncho/top), and often shopped there for things like this.

But there are other retailers.

Grin Wink

Lamahaha · 16/11/2019 12:30

Another vote for Tesco knickers, five in a sealed pack.

Dhalandchips · 16/11/2019 12:32

bork

LunchBoxPolice · 16/11/2019 12:36

Oh lord. I’ve bought lots of underwear from m&s over the years, definitely won’t be shopping in there again.

Michelleoftheresistance · 16/11/2019 12:36

Ah well. It was this time last year M&S had that thing about what every woman needs is tiny pants and every female here went get stuffed, it's about BIG KNICKERS. No one wears tiny pants unless it's performative with a man involved.

This year M&S believe that for women it's all about the tiny pants with the semen stains! So festive. So joyous for women, that.

And women are still going get stuffed, but now the big knickers are getting bought in sealed packets. And possibly washed before wearing.

TimeLady · 16/11/2019 12:41

Deirdre Dildos, penis-shaped gummy confectionery products.

I'm sure they'll catch on.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 16/11/2019 12:44

Mark's Malted Balls.

(Overpriced Maltesers for pervs)

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 16/11/2019 12:46

They could sell them in a package that looks like knickers just to remind everyone what they've decided their core market is.

jay55 · 16/11/2019 12:52

The sun, of all places mentioning women's dignity and privacy.
I know they just wanted a lurid story but that one line gives me a lot of hope.

M&S won't care, they'll think sun readers are not their target market, despite stocking it.

Flaskfan · 16/11/2019 12:52

Asia knickers for me. Especially the seamless ones. Lasted years.

Flaskfan · 16/11/2019 12:53

sigh asda.

Aaarrgghhh · 16/11/2019 13:01

I’ve bought underwear from Tesco and Asda, nothing wrong with them and have lasted years. Good selection of cheap big knickers which are what I go for. I’m pissed at M&S and feel conflicted but the only thing I’ve bought from them is baby popper vests, they started also selling them in bigger ages for a really good price compared to buying from a disability site and I may need some more in a bigger size soon and can’t afford to go elsewhere but I don’t want to give money to them. Hopefully she is using the toilet before I need the bigger size but I seriously doubt it. Might buy the extension popper things you can buy and cope with that until she uses the toilet.

DuMondeB · 16/11/2019 13:06

So, turns out there is such a thing as bad publicity, huh M&S?
