Template letter to school?

I want to write to DCs' school to check they're not using Stonewall, Mermaids, Allsorts or any similar pseudoscientific shittery to teach children about sex and relationships.

If I write it will sound like that because I am very angry at the moment. GrinIs there a link anywhere to a nice, concise, conciliatory letter I could adapt? I want to make it clear I completely support teaching families come in all shapes and sizes, you love who you love and that's great, all of that. Just no FUCKING clownfish thanks.

Yes, there are loads of template letters on the Safe Schools Alliance UK website. They're brilliant

Good look. I teach and am also vigilant about this crap arriving at school so hopefully you will have some decent GC women on the staff too.

sigh
Good luck!

Update: was invited in for a chat by the deputy head, who took me through the curriculum in detail.

Follows PSE guidelines, very strong on personal boundaries and online safety.

Trans is covered very lightly (they've already had a couple of kids socially transitioning) as some people 'identifying' and being happier when treated as other sex,and it being unacceptable to treat them badly because of it. No clown fish, no saying it's possible to change sex. Said in their opinion stonewall goes a bit too far on this topic, and kids are far too young to make life changing decisions.

Greatly relieved, thanks for the help!

Good news and well done.

We have a new secondary school being built here. Despite no longer have school age children, do you think it is ok to question them on the toilet facilities? I don’t live in a very ‘woke’ area but I think the council uses the Allsorts template.

It just feels a bit weird, an adult asking about a schools toilet facilities when I don’t actually have any connection to the school.

It's fine VinandVigour
We all need to look out for the rights of girls and boys to access single sex spaces - but I would ask about toilets and changing room provision - single sex with some third spaces ideally? And ask about staff provision as well - hypocritically many schools have single sex for staff while forcing children into mixed sex provision.
