Sunkisses, thank you so much for reporting this. As you say, it is absolutely chilling that Maya has been sacked for this. I wish her the best of luck but it’s a grim indictment of the current status quo that she is in court at all.

God, they really are desperate.This feigned moral superiority when the defence were the ones that had the audacity/stupidity to compare scientific reality to Bible stories.

Thankfully the judge can see through it by the tweets we've seen.

Comparing belief in scientific reality to belief in the Old Testament is a bit daft if you are trying to say the former doesn’t amount to a ‘belief’.

It does sound like the judge is enjoying it.
Maya is incredibly impressive and really has prepared herself brilliantly.

It's so surreal she is having to defend a normal, biological fact in a court. I keep thinking of that tyrannical court in Star Trek, the one where Q wears a red outfit like they wore in Italian courts in the past, and finds the Star Trek crew guilty of some non-crime.

I hope she has the best legal advice money can buy!!

He's basically saying that women will just have to work with difficulty and get used to it over time, it's what society wants - for women to submit to men on this, so just get used to it.
