I’m so gutted for Jolyon when he’s worked so hard to shake off the stink of critical thinking. Sad times.

Reading this at arms length (and vicariously enjoying the ride) it comes across like Mumsnet FWR: The Musical. So many show-stopping tunes (arguments) and such a lively cast.

Many transactivists are under the impression that if they say they object to something, people stop talking about it. But that's actually called terf blocker.

And one of the reasons that they are floundering so badly in court is that they have never tested their arguments before. #nodebate means that the only tools they have are to block or to shout 'bigot' and 'transphobe' or to threaten violence. They don't even know what our arguments are because of their habit of blocking everyone who disagrees with them.

Does anyone know if there will be a transcript available of everything that goes on in court?

That has actually happened to him before, a few months back. I forget the context but I think it might've been something like both sides needing to compromise and behave ourselves. Fairly offensive and self appointed prefect-esque, but as it entertained some possibility of women having a point he got slagged from the usual corners. Possible that his recent escapades have been in response to that.

Jolyon has been throwing women under the bus as hard as he can to show them how sorry he is, but it will never be enough, there just aren't enough women to placate them.

I think the street violence wing must be those women who are inconsiderately throwing their heads at the TRAs' fists.

How long does everybody think this will run for? No clue on legal proceedings like this but is there a fixed amount of days or can it be wrapped up in a shorter time?

I suppose the street violence could actually be Jolyon's infamous defensive weapon recommended to women: the Tut and Move Away, and that's why he's in trouble with C.

However suggesting that there's an organised GC wing of women Tutting and Moving Away somewhere under Jolyon's command is a bit of a stretch, particularly considering the massed evidence that most women regarded the T&MA as.... well. A glaring incident of foot in mouth syndrome shall we say?
