Have WEP finalised anything yet?

I was wondering if WEP have said anything final about the definition of a woman, before I contact them, I thought I’d check with you.

I’m on a late shift today so might not see any replies till tomorrow morning but thanks in advance.

They've never wavered from this stance, that women are just an indefinable concept that both sexes can be.

They ejected Heather Brunskill Evans for having concerns about 'trans' children.

They've been this way since the beginning.

I just wondered if they had updated pre election! Madness.

At their conference in 2018 they agreed to consult members more widely on this issue but I don't think anything concrete has come out of it. They've tried to sit on the fence but yes speakers have made very TWAW statements. Sophie Walker I believe leaned towards GC views, but then she stepped down.

I wouldn't be surprised if the sheer impossibility of balancing this one was one factor (only one) in her stepping down tbh. I dont know that she was particularly GC, but I dont think she could go all out the other way either.

Does WEP still exist? I'd completely forgotten about them.

It’s just been announced that they’ve stood aside in two seats in order to support the Libdems. The Libdems will be adopting some of their policies.
