Just that really. Just a dream of mine and probably many others (?).

We can't take this lying down. When will the next election be after this? How many more UK girls and boys will have been sterilised by then?

OK crawling back in my shell.

I'm with you.

Thanks EA, much appreciated.

I don't think we're at the stage yet where we can mobilise the masses for marches, unfortunately, but I'm a gobby old biddy & make my views loud & clear wherever I am. GC stickers have already been appearing in my area regarding the election Wink

MaeWest1890 · 08/11/2019 02:33

I am in!

Suggest Saturday 7th December Trafalgar Square 12 noon.

GE on 12th

(Can be GC plus End Violence Against Women)

DuMondeB · 08/11/2019 11:13

The problem with mobilising women for political events is childcare. Ironic really.

With you in spirit though!

Cookieflavoredbiscuit · 08/11/2019 12:25

Just a dream of mine and probably many others (?).

My version of this dream is more of a general strike. That would take care of the childcare problem, too. Or maybe a bunch of very local get togethers...

GeordieTerf · 08/11/2019 12:41

Most GC feminists are in the closet, sadly Sad

Sunkisses · 08/11/2019 12:49

If you go to London any Saturday there are multiple demos and marches every single week on any issue you can think of - human rights, nationalism, refugees, animals, climate, NHS, Brexit... Nobody takes the blindest bit of notice I am afraid! Unless the march/demo was absolutely HUGE (and would need a team of multiple women working on it full-time, and nothing else) it won't attract any attention. Just my thoughts...

MsMcWibble · 08/11/2019 12:49

What about turning up for Harry the Owl's Judicial Review? He's said he wants supporters.

LoveCompost · 08/11/2019 22:48

Fair Cop member here ! We’d absolutely love a big presence outside the RCJ on Nov 20 from 9 30 . We’ve got placards or bring your own xxx

EileenAlanna · 09/11/2019 01:18

@LoveCompost would love to be there but I'm in Birmingham & wouldn't get back in time for my evening shift. Will keep retweeting the details & help make as much noise about it in the run up as possible (I follow you on Twitter)

SarahConnorFem · 09/11/2019 01:27

Yep I'd love to march too. Never marched for anything but I'd do it and make a placard and everything!!

Ummmmcake · 09/11/2019 11:17

I would also like to participate in such a march.

Ladybirdman · 09/11/2019 11:22

What is GC?

And why not use the Full term?

EmpressLesbianInChair · 09/11/2019 11:25

The closest thing I’ve seen to a proper women’s march is Million Women Rise. You might see the odd passive-aggressive placard there about ‘ALL women’ but that’s it.

EileenAlanna · 09/11/2019 11:44

@Ladybirdman GC=Gender Critical. Don't know about anyone else but I use the initials because I'm on Twitter more than here & working with strict limits per Tweet, so it's now a useful habit.
