We think this has become an appallingly common experience, particularly (but not only) for young women.

25, over 10, under 15 partners. 5 of those have at some point out their hands around my throat, and anal has been raised, whether ‘undertaken’ or not with 3 of them. Slapping, either on my body or my face, 8 of them, and not one checked first.

Hideous comment I just read on a Facebook article;
‘A friend of mine told me once that things got a bit rough with her partner at one time and she passed out from being strangled with a belt (that she'd asked for). Do u know what he did? Stopped, freaked out and made sure she was ok. She woke up and they laughed it off’

And that Fakebook comment... bloody hell. There's a whole generation in need of counselling/gentle explanations that 50 Shades of Shite was (a) fiction and (b) spectacularly badly written fiction and (c) exploitative, misogynistic crap.
