It's not funny really. She pretended to be nonbinary to people who were genuinely nonbinary. They confided in her on that basis. Now they feel let down.

All she's done is make people who don't take nonbinary identities seriously look mean and thoughtless.

The point is that everyone is non - binary to some extent. How can we tell who is really non - binary or really trans or really anything? Performance art line this deliberately fudges the boundaries of things to make you consider where they really are. It's only offensive if you think your identity is so special that to even scrutinise it is heresy.
