Many mammals have hymen. Humans, dogs, cats, camels, elephants etc.

Surprised at this. I read an article a while ago that said humans and horses both had hymens, and that was it. Which is right? (Or did I dream it?)

That's really interesting especially the part about hymens having a useful purpose during infancy, I always thought it was just a useless bit of skin.
