Just been in kfc , nipped to the loo. Male/female cubicles. Male cubicle, disabled. But no ladies. What's that about.

Oh kfc

Which branch is this in? Can you be specific or if not just give us the area?

WitchfinderGeneralHarrumph · 06/11/2019 12:49

FFS, KFC; WTF?

9 letters needed. Are they individual cubicles with piss all over the floor & seat?

sheshootssheimplores · 06/11/2019 12:49

I hope you enquired where the ladies was?

eyeoresancerre · 06/11/2019 12:49

That gives me the rage. Why oh why do the blokes get to have their own toilets? Raaaaagggggeeee.

ScrimshawTheSecond · 06/11/2019 12:49

JFC, KFC.

Akire · 06/11/2019 12:55

Accessible loos always have wheelchair symbol on so could be they haven't got around putting all up or someone nicked them? Nothing would suprise me! Maybe mean time they stuck up a man to make clear is a loo not broom cupboard?

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 06/11/2019 13:16

KFC CIS

CIS in this case means Chicken Is Shit but I love what I did there Grin

An incredibly easy one to boycott, thankfully.

jadefinch · 06/11/2019 13:35

Wasn't in a KFC car park earlier this year where a transwoman attacked a girl with a hammer over a parking dispute (and ignored her boyfriend who was driving the car). It then emerged that the transwoman had been running diversity sessions for the police - and somehow avoided going to jail

Glinner · 06/11/2019 13:58

There was a similar photo recently and it turned out there were more toilets out of shot that made the photo misleading. Apologies for asking but are these definitely the only toilets there? Just want to be sure before posting elsewhere.

WitchfinderGeneralHarrumph · 06/11/2019 14:00

Yes Jade, it was Gingerbread's advisor and trainer to Merseyside Police in areas of Equality and Diversity, training staff at all levels of the Police force.

Nothing to see here, please move along; it was recorded as an assault by a female.

drinkswineoutofamug · 06/11/2019 14:03

Sorry, it's in Stoke. I asked where the ladies was and the pointed to the mixed loos. The place was run by kids . Pointed out to said kids that there was mixed, men's or disabled but no ladies. We are to use the mixed toilets apparently

ErrolTheDragon · 06/11/2019 14:07

Assuming there aren't more loos, presumably they've done the lazy and entirely wrong thing by leaving the loos with urinals as men's and making the women's loos open to all.

If they want to provide any-sex loos then it either needs to be in addition to men's and women's, or they need to redesign the whole lot to make them all proper enclosed self-contained (sink and sanitary bin) no-spy cubicles. If they do that they should include a parents&child larger space as I assume families are a significant part of their clientele.

Goosefoot · 06/11/2019 14:08

Are these all with stalls inside?

I have seen instances where the toilets were just singles, where the women's was also the disabled toilet, because it was a good deal larger to accommodate small kids and strollers and a change table, as well as a wheelchair, stability bars, and so on.

While this leaves the women's toilet busier and that can be an issue depending on the size of the place, it's not really caused by a desire to be gender neutral and it doesn't really put women in a position of not having privacy from men.

CranberriesChoccy · 06/11/2019 14:09

And once again It's women who are expected to accomodate and compromise their safety and dignity.

drinkswineoutofamug · 06/11/2019 14:13

Now that I'm home, there was a disabled/baby change. Then a door with the usual male/female signs. Was expecting the usual left for men right for women.

No.

3 toilets with male/female , Normal toilet and sanitary bin. 1 male urinal. The doors locked floor to ceiling. 3 sinks and cctv.

OP posts:
theflushedzebra · 06/11/2019 14:18

cctv??

OttomanUmpire · 06/11/2019 14:29

But isn’t the idea that trans women are not men? Hmm

And not least that all these women should have somewhere away from men who might attack trans women?

Not that all women now must use the men’s toilets?

Is there an actual coherent position on this available from anywhere?

Goosefoot · 06/11/2019 14:30

That seems weird. Sometime sit almost seems like people make random decisions, they don't make sense for anyone.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

theflushedzebra · 06/11/2019 14:42

Wow, that's a really convincing argument, Cymatic

Sure, we're all really quite ok about losing women's facilities now you've posted that.

Wishforsnow · 06/11/2019 14:42

Cymatic there have been rapes in fast food outlet toilets. Even as far back as the 80's that I am aware of.

WitchfinderGeneralHarrumph · 06/11/2019 14:47

Thanks Cymatic - that's good to know. Unless... what if it actually happened in a KFC?

Good to know that we can just disregard our concerns.

HandsOffMyRights · 06/11/2019 14:56

Somebody nailed it earlier, the male sex is now the protected characteristic in the EA

KFC needs to add a U to its initals because this it fails to give one about women's needs.

HandsOffMyRights · 06/11/2019 14:59

Better read this Cymatic
