Ireland, Assisted Human Reproduction Bill.

Hi All,
A drafting of a bill on Assisted Human Reproduction (AHR) was approved by the Irish government in 201 but has not yet been implemented.
If any Irish or UK posters could read it and have a discussion and help me understand it I would be grateful.
From what I have read, surrogacy is not banned but "aultristic" surrogacy is allowed.
Considering the high profile surrogacy "arrangements" that we are hearing of in Irish news I feel something is happening behind the scenes and now maybe is the time to start asking questions.
The bill

"In this regard, consideration of the welfare and best interests of children born through AHR is a key principle underpinning the Scheme."

First thing I saw, this needs looking into and challenging.

Does the public consultation done recently in Uk apply to NI?

I'll come back to this later to read properly.

I'm not sure, but there was a consultation event in Belfast in September.
