I also can't get my head around the "body positive" bit.

Isn't body positivity about accepting the body you have? Isn't what Bergdorf has done to Bergdorf's body the opposite of that?

Michelleoftheresistance · 30/10/2019 17:52

Well done Janice. Once again when tested it proves that the truth is not transphobic.

myfavouriterain · 30/10/2019 18:25

Excellent

Yes that's it. I've had a long day.

I'd like to say more but I can't phrase the truth it in a way that would be allowed to stand here. Cos like, the rules of mn misogyny etc.

Hands, could you do a R0 and link to that thread please?

Yes talking mind boggling.

Although, I noticed on another thread that men were easily swayed by Jimmy Savil whereas the older women (mostly nurses) were the ones who saw through his shit.

I wonder if woke men or just men working in these organisations just simply don't have the same basic appropriateness awareness and the younger women are too naive or woke too?

Either way there's a worrying amount of not getting it right going on at the NSPCC

The columnist did not claim that the complainant had a fetish; she claimed that the complainant had undertaken “fetish shoots”, which did not appear to be in dispute, given that the complainant accepted that she had worn fetish items during fashion shoots.

Hah, her (extremely typical) attempt to twist what was said was an utter failure. So amusing.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 30/10/2019 20:32

Yay Janis! And also yay IPSO for refusing to be swayed.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 30/10/2019 20:39

The men don’t need it. And the young women haven’t yet realised they need it.

NeurotrashWarrior · 30/10/2019 20:42

True. Boundaries? What boundaries.

excellent news Wine

KatvonHostileExtremist · 30/10/2019 20:48

It's just the screaming entitlement of Bergdorf.

HandsOffMyRights · 30/10/2019 20:49

Page two, PencilsInSpace (please tell me she's still on MN) mentions the IPSO.

Ah R0 (and Datun) were the ones who piqued my interest in FWR...

I miss R0's links and brilliance here.

ChickenyChick · 30/10/2019 20:51

OP, men just care less as this issue (and related issues) does not affect them.

Janice Turner is very brave, she must get a barrage of abuse and doxxing

Matereality · 30/10/2019 21:27

Where is R0? I saw Datun recently.

Great news Wine

Daughterofmabel · 30/10/2019 21:57

Excellent

ChattyLion · 30/10/2019 22:06

Flowers very happy for Janice. Hope she will have a big Gin Glitterball to celebrate and keep right on with her awesome writing.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 30/10/2019 22:09

R0’s fine, just a bit busy in RL so she’s taking a break.

Matereality · 01/11/2019 08:44

Thanks Empress. Glad that R0 is OK.
