harrowing doc on porn

Saw a documentary called pornocracy, its on amzon. Completely harrowing. Its made by a former worker in porn, and is basically about how free online streaming websites, almost all owned by one extremely dodgy company, have affected the industry. I'm sure women here will generally be anti porn anyway, but it seems to have got so horrific in the last 10 years, to entirely new levels. People are now being paid for scenes in a couple of hundred rather than in thousands, with no control over anything. It opens with a horrific scene of a description of how they use medication to facilitate the most awful things which causes physical damage, and girls are now expected to do this stuff within weeks of starting. They live in dorms in eastern europe (though the same thing in the US) and get paid next to nothing.

And of course the stuff on free streaming is easily accessible to children. (The shady company is actually in favour of bringing in age verification as this would give them more data and power.) . I don't know how these sites get a free pass with mass piracy, child abuse, revenge porn ect.

The UK Government was planning on blocking porn unless viewers verified their age, and Pornhub (the shady company you're referring to) was actually going to be the one in charge of the system.

The current plan has been dropped but the Government still wants to block porn (and possibly other content too) without age verification under an upcoming internet bill.

The downsides to this however is it can be easily circumvented by using a VPN (I'm sure most people know what a VPN is), and as you mention people who do verify your age would have their personal details along with porn habits on an online database, just waiting to be hacked and leaked (remember what happened to Ashley Madison?)

Watch "hot girls wanted" on Netflix. It's so sad. I hate porn more and more each day
