Woman sets person on fire in US

I am quite concerned at how violent women seem to have gotten. I don’t know why people claim that men are the ones who commit most violent crime when there are ladies like this who act just as violently.

MNHQ needs to edit the thread title: MAN sets person on fire.

AncientLights · 26/10/2019 09:08

However, a police officer tazed 'him' as it says in the article so the truth will out, even if it slips away again. This individual has clear mental health problems.

How any newspaper could write that bunch of obfuscation, I don't know, unless they intentionally want to peak trans their readership.

andyoldlabour · 26/10/2019 09:18

How can the Miami Herald get away with lying in its headlines and articles. Every single person knows what is going on there.

BlouseAndSkirt · 26/10/2019 09:19

The CCTV shot shows a person with a beard in a faux-mincing pose like a drag queen.

So I guess the bearded mugshot was taken at the police station, where they make them wear this boiler suits.

Where does it say the victim is a woman?

Horrible, horrible crime.

TheNaughtyStep · 26/10/2019 09:27

Haha. Grammar obviously very problematic for the editorial staff. Pronouns a full on pick and mix, the victim is "them" the person who "may have went" on an arson trip variously "he,him and she".

Apart from anything else I despair of future educational standards, with biology and science out of the door, critical thinking it goes without saying is an unknown concept and grammar making language meaningless.

We truly are on a downward spiral. I recommend the tale of the "Doasyoulikes" in the Water Babies: "Kingsley tells of a group of humans called the Doasyoulikes who are allowed to do "whatever they like" so gradually lose the power of speech, degenerate into gorillas".

BlackForestCake · 26/10/2019 09:35

Whatever happened to journalistic ethics?

HandsOffMyRights · 26/10/2019 09:45

The reporters are probably subject to the same threats
as we are for stating the flaming obvious. Maybe it's the lawyers keeping calling the shots or a nervous editor. Some spine is needed.

It is a painful read though. Remember the line in the Karen white story: "her penis" which peaked readers. I wish there was more of this.

In this case, the picture says it all.

But if you didn't open the link or looked at the crime stats, this would be recorded as a crime committed by a woman.

yetanotherusernameAgain · 26/10/2019 09:47

If anyone else is wondering how people know the victim was a woman, cos it's not included in the Miami Herald article, it has been widely reported by other media outlets, eg
www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2019/10/24/suspect-busted-for-lighting-woman-on-fire-in-florida-taco-bell/amp/

Pota2 · 26/10/2019 10:36

TheVanguardSix the title of the thread was sort of deliberate to demonstrate how ridiculous this all is. I am in no doubt or confusion that this person is a man.

Karabair · 26/10/2019 10:51

Are the reporters trying to make a subtle point? They’re certainly highlighting the absurdities.

WrathofSIxFootSIxElfKlop · 26/10/2019 10:51

Unadulterated photographs are GC.

What a strange sentence I've just said there.

Aka truth.

Pota2 · 26/10/2019 10:53

Yeah I agree that there seems to be some sort of statement made. I wonder how many things like this it will take for the TRAs to stop claiming it never happens.

KatvonHostileExtremist · 26/10/2019 10:57

I'm really confused about the sex of this individual

Woman sets person on fire in US
TheNaughtyStep · 26/10/2019 10:58

Is anyone anywhere keeping track of all these cases? Really need a searchable database of the evidence.

WrathofSIxFootSIxElfKlop · 26/10/2019 11:05

He, they.. that.
Is 'That' a suitable pronoun?

That is a man.

IsadoraQuagmire · 26/10/2019 13:56

Well, every single Twitter comment is calling them out on their lying and crap reporting!

QuantumEntanglement · 26/10/2019 14:19

Loved this reply on the twitter thread:

“Not.A.Woman! If this man had a demon cat Halloween outfit on, would you write "A demon cat sets person on fire in Taco Bell"? What if he "identified as Batman"? FFS.”

FFS indeed.

Childrenofthestones · 26/10/2019 15:03

So the woman with the beard and penis set fire to another woman?

As it is mostly leftwingers pushing this dogma I do wonder how many swing votes Trump and the right pick up from all this lunacy

allmywhat · 26/10/2019 15:10

This censorship of crime reporting seems like a bit of an own goal for the TRAs. Streisand effect type thing.

Looks like some "that never happens" cases get more publicity than they would get otherwise because people read the articles, go "wtf that's not a woman" and respond to it. I suspect newspapers have figured out that it's a great way to get clicks.

End result: people are more aware both that there are a lot of extremely violent transwomen out there, and that the trans movement is censoring newspapers. Or am I being optimistic?

Apollo440 · 26/10/2019 15:16

#notourcrimes is a hashtag used to highlight these cases.

There is a website transcrimeuk.com/ which documents uk crime committed by transwomen and often reported as women's crime. I think there was some talk about rebranding as 'not our crime' as it was a simpler message that crime should be recorded by sex and seen to be less accusatory about transwomen in general.

HorseWithNoFucksToGive · 26/10/2019 15:25

Well, every single Twitter comment is calling them out on their lying and crap reporting!

Our Vicky is on the Twitter.

No doubt she will find time to convince everyone on there that this really is a woman and to accept without exception. Sort out the ratio problem too!

Pota2 · 26/10/2019 15:32

Pushing the boundaries of what it means to be a woman

OP posts:
ScrimshawTheSecond · 26/10/2019 15:41

Hmm. NY post manages to completely avoid calling Mia a woman, but repeatedly refers to the victim as a woman:

nypost.com/2019/10/24/suspect-busted-for-lighting-woman-on-fire-in-florida-taco-bell/

ErrolTheDragon · 26/10/2019 16:13

Good to see some truthful reporting.
Maybe some states are more restrictive of that than others?

FWRLurker · 26/10/2019 17:34

I can’t help but wonder if a GC feminist wrote this and chose the pic purposely to insta-peak as many Miamians as possible.
