Just wanted to say good luck and I hope it goes well. I live too far away to attend but I wish I could. I hope that the shitty weather that the BBC has predicted means that the woke protestors won’t give you too much grief or stand banging on windows.

I see that they have already tried to get Allison Bailey’s chambers to condemn her on twitter and lo and behold, they have done so. Arseholes ganging up on a black lesbian feminist. Makes me so angry. Anyway, I hope you rock it tonight, Allison

Not able to go now, pretty gutted as it would have been my first WPUK meeting. I did just get the venue confirmation through, even through I returned my ticket, and am very pleased to see where it’s being held.

Are the protests going ahead?

I thought the protestors had decided against protesting outside the venue. It seems to have dawned on some of them that shoving women and screaming and bashing on windows may not not a good look.

Oh well that’s great if they called the protests off? I saw something on twitter where a TRA was asking if people were ‘joining them’ which made me a bit worried. Shame you can’t go GCA

Hope it went well - a topic particularly close to my heart (ex-academic) and just down the road, but cravenly, I'm not there because I couldn't find a local friend to go with. Really, really hoping that the mob stayed away this time - last time in Oxford was pretty unpleasant.

I’m sure they’ll have filmed it. They usually upload the videos within a week of the event.

Very cool meeting and all calm. Genuine thanks from the chair to Trans Action Oxford for protesting positively without intimidating. All the speakers were inspiring tbh.
