I agree with that. However the other parties also have a woman problem. But I think right now it's worst in the Labour Party as they seem to be targeting women for deselection and some vicious bullying.

Good piece. I was hoping she'd mention, when she discussed all-women shortlists, the farcical notion that Labour will allow males on to these now, as well as to hold women's officer posts.

Can't have everything, I suppose.

Last time I spoke to a labour candidate on my doorstep he very proudly told me all about how progressive they were in relation to women. Then refused to discuss AW shortlists with me when I asked him why they were open to anyone of either sex.
Not being able to justify or even discuss their position re women is not going to serve them well.
