Other posters probably routinely do this, but today I've made a resolution to report every single nasty comment about women that I see in Comments sections. The comment I saw this morning (on a Yahoo! celeb article) was gibberish, but nasty gibberish using violent language. It's so routine that normally my eye sort of slides over it, but I need to stop ignoring it.

This is a very good idea.
I also tend to just eye roll and move on when reading an inappropriate nasty comment.
The one on MB's obituary particularly stunned me.

Report report report will be my mantra too.

Someone is marketing a T shirt ('Terfy Tee' -MNHQ that's what they call it) with defamatory statements about Posie Parker on it.

I'd never realised till now that you can report campaign T shirts. So I did.

It is often surprising when the media acts on a handful or even a single complaint.

When reading a derogatory remark, it might be better to report than to respond.

I never realised that my tendency was to either ignore the comment or respond.
It hadn't even crossed my mind.

Now I have a third option, report.
