I'm new to feminist theory, but writing something on gender. Could any of you amazing FWR mumsnetters help me out? Ideally it'd be a classic text about how gender being an oppressive hierarchy, with men superior; harmful to women even if they are not aware of its harms or whether or not they conform to gender norms. I read a bit of the second sex but not sure it quite describes this, at least in the chapters I read. Thankyou for any help you can give!
