This is good however women are not staying quiet out of “silliness”!!!

With the environmental protests blocking off the roads and bridges around there? Not good timing. Not sure what side the protestors would be on.

RoseQuartzGlow · 07/10/2019 08:18

About time.

AutumnRose1 · 07/10/2019 08:20

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but is it an open meeting?

Lolasaurous · 07/10/2019 08:21

Silly? Is she aware of the hate and harassment campaigns that voicing such opinions attracts and the attempts often successful at getting you banned from social media and even sacked from your job?

AutumnRose1 · 07/10/2019 08:21

Re protestors, isn't this week their big week?

Lolasaurous · 07/10/2019 08:22

Of course , we continue to do it anyway though

AutumnRose1 · 07/10/2019 08:22

Lola - no, I imagine she's not aware, one reason I'm keen to go.

snowbear66 · 07/10/2019 08:26

Out of ‘silliness’

What an I’ll inf thing to say.

Lolasaurous · 07/10/2019 08:27

I forgot the death threats too, and the physical violence that some women have been victims of from TRAs

snowbear66 · 07/10/2019 08:27

*informed

Kit19 · 07/10/2019 09:19

she must know many members of the House of Lords are full on the TRA bandwagon! it's not as if Trans issues arent discussed there. Isnt Michael Cashman a peer?

OP posts:
AncientLights · 07/10/2019 09:27

Her use of 'silly' shows how very little she knows about it.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 07/10/2019 09:28

Isnt Michael Cashman a peer?

Invite him along! Why not?! Let's hear his no doubt rock-solid evidence-based reasoning as part of a free and open debate. I'm sure he would be courteous enough to hear others out as they did him.

Right?

...Right?

AutumnRose1 · 07/10/2019 09:37

this thread is getting "silly"

no, she DOESN'T know. So if it's an open meeting, we can take the opportunity to tell her.

LoveGrowsWhere · 07/10/2019 10:13

She's willing to listen and possibly act. This is a positive thing. Don't shoot the potential messenger to Hancock !

Popchyk · 07/10/2019 10:19

Agreed, she doesn't know.

She's saying "I follow Macbeth - ‘be bloody, bold and resolute’ - when it really counts" on Twitter.

This time next week, she'll know.

AutumnRose1 · 07/10/2019 10:38

"This is a positive thing. Don't shoot the potential messenger to Hancock !"

exactly. Most politicians haven't a fucking clue what's going on with a lot of things. I'm not saying that's right. I'm saying we have to deal with the situation as it is, not just snark about how it should be.

There's an opportunity here. Don't waste it on snark.

Ereshkigal · 07/10/2019 10:41

I agree. If you're not mired in this you probably don't see it. This is a great opportunity to make people aware of things.

Popchyk · 07/10/2019 10:45

And mixed sex hospital wards is probably the best approach to take in order to make ordinary people sit up and take notice.

If you focus on the mixed-sex aspect, then you don't even need to get into the transgender thing. You just have to state that women deserve same-sex accommodation on hospital wards. And the new NHS guidelines both promises this and denies it in exactly the same document. That's the issue.

Keep it simple. Keep it to the one issue.
