It's also popular with anime fans and people with alternative clothing styles.

2BthatUnnoticed · 05/10/2019 14:31

A lot of silly posturing because these have no self esteem and few if any friends. Just desperate for validation - how embarrassing.

But still - please be careful! I’m getting a strong school shooter vibe here.

"POV if you're a terf in my mentions"
LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 05/10/2019 16:08

Aw bless, Fionne says...

"POV if you're a terf in my mentions"
BarbaraStrozzi · 05/10/2019 16:46

But still - please be careful! I’m getting a strong school shooter vibe here.

Yup, that's the thing. It only takes one. And they don't exactly come across as the most mentally stable bunch ever.

Like Fionne's one!

NeurotrashWarrior · 05/10/2019 17:15

I need help- what's POV?

NcNcNcNcNcNcNc · 05/10/2019 17:18

POV is Point Of View.

NeurotrashWarrior · 05/10/2019 17:20

I thought it was but it still didn't scan well - now I get it. Gawd they're shit at grammar these kids ain't they?

Gingerkittykat · 05/10/2019 17:34

Are twitter taking down these posts?

They are actually really disturbing, I know the intent is to intimidate and silence women and I know this kind of hate talk would not be tolerated if it was aimed towards another group. I imagine if us TERFS started posting shit like this about trans people then they would immediately be banned from Twitter and have the police at the door, and of course us women wouldn't want to threaten violence to anyone anyway.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 05/10/2019 18:06

I know it’s supposed to to intimidate them, and are just pathetic wee spotty nyaffs (who would wet their pampers if a woman looked at them, let alone told them where they were going to stick their stupid bats, nun chuks and kooks kitchen knives, if waved in their faces) but twitter really ought to spank some botties (and botski botties).

AudacityOfHope · 05/10/2019 18:07

I'm wondering what the response would have been if it was 'POV if you're a black guy in my
mentions'. I mean, that last one with the rope is not far off of threatening a lynching.

Michelleoftheresistance · 05/10/2019 18:11

Yeah, actual death threats. With images.

Who's reported this to PC Gull please? Or the Woke Yorks Police? Joan McAlpine? Are Twitter, gosh, letting these stand? You know, actual identifiable people making threats of intended violence which includes murder according to the dodgy looking individual demonstrating his/her/their/zir readiness to garrotte women who don't share political affiliation?

I know it's about like that bit in Labyrinth where the girl wakes up surrounded by muppets, but this is brazenly against the law.

LangCleg · 05/10/2019 18:16

Fucking useless inadequates.

Datun · 05/10/2019 18:17

It's both pathetic, and bullying.

They should be doing community service.

AudacityOfHope · 05/10/2019 22:48

I reported some of these and have only had a response about one so far - and it didn't violate any Twitter rules.

I'm perfectly willing to believe that, as their rules are mired in women-hating but maybe they should think about the fact that these tweets are deemed acceptable, and ponder what that should mean for their rules. Angry

Lolasaurous · 06/10/2019 08:56

I keep seeing these. Just saw another mobile.twitter.com/Voxelhc/status/1180256980927156225

No mental health issues here at all....right.

This is pretty accurate mobile.twitter.com/kokotronn/status/1180505403412508674

Ladyfat · 06/10/2019 10:46

I’ve been documenting each one of these and have received threats to breaking my nose, hacking my account and beating me with a bat.

Here is the ‘pov’ wall of shame:

twitter.com/radfemrebeccae/status/1179791219288879104?s=21

GenderfreeJoe · 06/10/2019 10:50

Violent men looking for any excuse to harm women, because women would never be interested in inadequate males like them.

Ladyfat · 06/10/2019 10:51

And here are the threats I’ve received since I started documenting these misogynists.
Every negative ‘POV terf in my mention’ promotes the idea that women can and should be beaten down for their views.

twitter.com/radfemrebeccae/status/1179777520985690118?s=21

Ladyfat · 06/10/2019 10:57

To the posters asking what ‘pov’ stands for; it is an acronym of “point of view” it is a camera angle currently popular in violent porn. It shows what the victim would see before and during the attack. Therefore “POV t*rf in my mentions” demonstrates what a feminist would see whilst she was attacked.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 06/10/2019 11:54

If these threats are repeatedly being confirmed by twitter as not breaking rules, then they should have no problem with them being reposted, alongside said confirmations, for everyone to see. Possibly like #AllowedByTwitter ?

TheChampagneGalop · 06/10/2019 12:37

I thought POV was an art term, as in perspective: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perspective_(graphical)
I just searched for "POV in art" online and got a ton of disgusting porn links as first results. You can't even google something so innocent without getting links to abusive porn. No wonder teenagers are getting fucked up mentally.

NeurotrashWarrior · 06/10/2019 13:02

Bloody hell I didn't know that. It just gets worse.

SophoclesTheFox · 06/10/2019 13:05

That’s atrocious, ladyfat

These are violent misogynists, threatening women, allowed and endorsed by social media. I am not Layla Moran, so I can’t see into gendered souls, but at least half of your screenshots are men, just ordinary men, as far as I can make out. Not trans people- just men, threatening women with violence.

In the name of fucking progress, because this, apparently, is where we are now.

Michelleoftheresistance · 06/10/2019 20:01

Lady have you or anyone else on Twitter copied these across to the police and to MPs? I'm not on Twitter or I would report to it to my local police, my MP, every other police force that seemed relevant, and about half the cabinet, as well as Joan McAlpine, David Davies and anyone else with a brain.

This is supposed to be illegal. Either we have reached the point where it's blatantly double standards and death threats are illegal unless they're aimed at women, in which case that needs to be proved and publicised nationwide with questions in parliament, or the police and Twitter are just wholly failing to do their job and need to answer for that. This is not on. Yes they're sad, ridiculous kids, but the behaviour isn't acceptable and the confidence is building every time they get away with it.

Ladyfat · 07/10/2019 10:15

I have tweeted several politicians (as well stonewall/pink news etc 😉) with sadly no reply. I am planning on printing all the “pov” pictures and threats and taking them to my local MP. It does beg the question how quickly would people rush to condemn these photos of they were aimed at “transwomen”?
