It is because of you and Helen that I am on this board. It was by sheer chance that I read the first thread (I think it was in the days when AIBU was, what shall I say, somewhat less selective!). I read all this with total incredulity, the scales fell from my eyes, and there was no going back. I’m not sure whether I should be grateful for this! 😂
I spoke to husband, daughter, son and some friends. Found support from first and last of those categories, daughter remained neutral, son didn’t speak to me properly for some months.
Some people I have spoken to have elected not to send their daughters to brownies, and even those who have still sent their daughters have thanked me for giving them a heads up. (I am sad about this because my DD loved Brownies).
I am not as brave as you are, and there are some friends that I haven’t spoken to. I am still a member of a political party that is head over heels in love with the trans movement, and I can’t speak about it there either, but I find little chinks of light where I can and just say a few words.
I so hope, as I’m sure we all do on here, that your court case is successful.
