Huge proportion of police staff uniformed & non-uniformed have not been vetted. To what extent do you think this has impacted the approach to violence against women?

Oh come on, how would you expect the police to have access to criminal records?

I think DBS is valid for 5 years.
You can apply for it to be portable within every short time of getting one issued, for example if you work with kids and also do volunteering, like with Guides and Scouts. Otherwise the DBS is connected to the job/volunteer role you applied for it in connection with. (I think).

I keep thinking there’s surely nothing else to come to light, then I read something like this and I wonder how the fuck we’ve come to a point where we have police forces pretty much disintegrating because the men leading them are so awful, officers raping and abusing people they should helping, and a massive percentage of officers not being properly checked. I mean, what the fuck?

I’m just astounded.
