I’m offering this without comment, mainly because my jaw is still on the floor.

I knew too. Big gold star for us.

But there are loads of posts from people saying they don't or didn't know. Posters who I would say were neither stupid nor naive. Which casts doubt on the continual assertion on Twitter and AIBU that 'kids are going to find out about this stuff anyway and this is the best way'.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 27/09/2019 21:50

Posing it as a "so this might be coming to our area soon, just looking for thoughts" question might be interesting.

ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 27/09/2019 21:51

I'll get on it Rufus Wink

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 27/09/2019 21:52

I knew, but I am 46, not 13.

OhHolyJesus · 27/09/2019 22:07

Ok, I had a look at F for felching. Threw up in my mouth a bit, then looked into Fetish. That was a very serious attempt to normalise the abnormal. Grooming in plain sight, dumbing it down, dismissing it. This is queer theory. I can't believe this passed, what idiots on the safeguarding team thought this was ok?

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 27/09/2019 22:09

what idiots on the safeguarding team thought this was ok?

They are not idiots, they know what they are doing.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 27/09/2019 22:12

I said this earlier but again, those who approved this for use in schools need to be publicly named. The Queer Theory Warriors attempt to name and shame women for such shocking offenses as, say, expressing concern about their daughters having to share a changing room with adult males. Time for a "right back atcha", I think.

ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 27/09/2019 22:18

It is good news that the link has gone surely? Someone clearly having a 'we did what?!' moment?

Ereshkigal · 27/09/2019 22:24

looked into Fetish. That was a very serious attempt to normalise the abnormal.

I found that truly bizarre. They explain it as if it's a phobia of wasps that you associate with yellow buttons, without relating it to sex at all.

Wurzelsnewhead · 27/09/2019 22:39

The link has gone but Going off the rails is still a partnered with the Sex Education Forum, the opportunity to link with other education authorities remains.
Organisations such as the Sex Education Forum who are instrumental in pushing statutory RSE need to be engaging with parents to ensure their agenda is not influenced by people with dubious agendas.

SirVixofVixHall · 27/09/2019 22:40

the actual harm reduction here would be to start a teen version of the Freedom Programme that would enable girls to assert their own boundaries and teach boys how to respect them

THIS

Antibles · 27/09/2019 22:52

Yes to a teen version of the Freedom programme. It can have a cartoon on the front of a teen girl with a speech bubble saying what Kittens said:

"Try to choke me and I will call the police on your misogynistic, porn addicted arse."

Yes.

Fraggling · 27/09/2019 23:04

Links are ok for me still?

Knewmee · 27/09/2019 23:08

@hubblevicky have you thought about sending all this info, about Jonny Hunt, the various organisations involved, to the Christian Institute? They have good lawyers and are well funded.

I’ve spent my entire adult life an atheist. I find it difficult to believe I’m recommending a Christian campaigning organisation as one of the few entities that is opposed to state sponsored grooming of underage girls. How did this happen?

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 27/09/2019 23:10

How did this happen?

Porn addicted men who've used their influence in pretty much every organization to push this bullshit through.

Datun · 27/09/2019 23:18

That's an excellent article lang. Are you on the AIBU thread?

Oh yes!

No - no time for AIBU as well as here! If you're on it, feel free to stick it there.

TruthOnTrial · 27/09/2019 23:56

Its like some want to cause harm to children, and remove all the safeguarding for the bants just like womens rights.

Are men fighting against this, or just women, the non-mysogynistic ones that is.

What is up with people.

Why wouldnt you want to protect children?

Heads will roll. This won't stop here, who's behind this, and those facilitating it, want hounding out of town and into prison

Datun · 28/09/2019 00:08

Gingernaut · 28/09/2019 00:32

LangCleg, I just came here to link just that article.

Brilliant.

Thingybob · 28/09/2019 00:51

There seems to be some confusion as to whether Warwickshire County Council is still linking to these sites.

I think I am correct in saying that there are 2 different sites/projects.

The first is 'All About Me' an RSE programme for primary age children, hitting the headlines for "teaching 6 year old to masturbate" This is Jonny Hunt's project and has been running for 5 years but was rewritten and relaunched this September. Links to this have been removed from Warwickshire CC site.

www.warwickshire.gov.uk/allaboutme

The second is 'Respect Yourself', a campaign and website aimed at those 13 years and over. (containing all the information on anal, rimming, scat, fisting, porn etc) Jonny appears to work with a wider team to write the material on there. The links to this project are still active on the Warwickshire CC site

www.warwickshire.gov.uk/sexualhealth
or
directory.warwickshire.gov.uk/service/respect-yourself-campaign

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 28/09/2019 00:52

Well, I put on the waders and jumped into AIBU. Fully expecting a flood of "gosh why are you such a prude" from people who most likely had a far less colourful youth than I did.

Datun · 28/09/2019 00:55

Thanks for that clarification Thingybob.
