I have just been discussing this documentary with my adult dd and adult dsd. Latter is bi and very woke, former straight and a bit ditsy and not really thought to much about trans issues.

so the discussion was :
this is a trans man ( so has biologically female body as proven by fact he has a pregnancy) . We have no problem with this whatsoever, to me i think it is a female presenting and living as a male..fine , i don;t have feelings what people do , it is up to them how they live their lives.

but what we could not get our collective heads around is he say he is a gay transgender male.
So is that in fact a person who is living as a man but has female body parts and genitalia and likes to have sex with men , thus is in fact straight .

we know we were getting all tied up in labels and my very woke dsd ( who for record i adore and we have great relationship) got quite angry with dd and me , who kept saying the above.

but if we look at it from a solely what label do you have with regards to the kind of sex you like to have..man and woman piv sex = straight, man and man, woman and woman = gay , like both = bi.
then a gay transgender ( not had reassigment surgery) is infact straight.

aghhh..i feel i needed to just stop before we got all knotted further.
this is not a goady post to start off a trans argument of any kind, just genuinely looking at the words we use to describe the kind of sex we like .
any thoughts ?
