Anyone who follows Let Clothes Be Clothes on FB might have seen this.

Quite a respectful post outlining why she needs to speak out, quickly jumped on by TRA Sympathisers, who don’t quite get that gender neutral parenting and trans ideology are diametrically opposed to one another.

Well it’s about time.

I'm pretty sure they tweeted something GC last year and got a pile on.

I was on that thread. I said 'thanks for sticking up for women's rights' , got called a Terf numerous times and some handmaiden said it was like Racial segregation

Fran has received a shit tonne of stick for this. Hopefully she'll gain more support too.

Ha! Just came on here to post about it! I screenshotted how many followers she has (albeit an hour after she posted) to see how many leave.
Maybe some already have but don’t think that many.

I commented as well DontBuy, haven’t got anything back but I think Fran might have deleted the post. I messaged her to say thanks for speaking up as well, it’s not easy to do when you know a huge portion of your audience are so open minded their brains have dropped out.

I think they've deleted it. I can't find it, but I can never find my way around FB.

They seem to be getting a lot of stick for supporting 'TERFs' and 'transphobes'.

I was also coming to see if there was a thread on it and to show support, glad to see that there is one! I fully support the statement she made and feel it was balanced and respectful while also being honest.

It was still on my feed fee minutes ago.

Has anyone ever claimed that trans, non-binary and intersex people don't exist? what a bizarre comment. ('Non-binary' people aren't in the least special, but that doesn't negate their existence.)

The ‘damage’ is done. Anyone who cares about her not following the Party Line of TWAW has already left or commented.

Deleting the whole post just makes it look like she’s lost her nerve or that she might be reconsidering her position.

She's standing strong on Twitter. As I always say, for professional reasons I'm more of a lurker on Twitter but perhaps other people can show some support.

I really don't understand why the TRAs care anyway when the whole point is to reject the gender stereotypes they want to reinforce.

Proves her point. Trans ideology is nothing to do with allowing freedom of expression and identity, and everything to do with silencing women.

I remember reading an article in the Independent a few years ago (OP ed, presumably commissioned in order to provoke) which came pretty close to saying "cos women" [sic] have a moral duty to dress in skirts so we have clearly delineated gender norms so that trans identifying people can more easily signal to the wider world which gender they are. Only please do remember to dress from M&S so you look a bit dowdy and we can look more fabulous than you.
